I began my career with Fidelity Investments Institutional prior to launching Global Trends Investments. In the early 2000s we explored the benefits of allocating to ETFs for our clients. In 2005, this research led to the launch of ETF Trends, a news and research platform focused on the investment advisor and self directed investor communities.

In 2019, ETF Trends merged with ETF Database. Together we grew our offering to include webcasts, podcasts and conferences focused on markets and ETF investment trends.

In 2021, we were acquired by a private equity firm and evolved into VettaFi. In addition to the ETF platforms, digital education and conference business, VettaFi built a successful index operation that further strengthens relationships in the asset management space. Today, as part of the TMX Group, VettaFi serves clients around the World.

Being an independent trustee on a few fund boards has kept me up to speed with the nuances of the regulatory world and understanding investors’ appetite for product innovation. Guggenheim Investments is a great example of a company that continues to evolve in the fixed income arena. The Goldman Sachs ETF Accelerator launch made it possible for large asset managers around the world to enter the ETF space with a white glove offering.

My book writing days are over (The ETF Trend Following Playbook and iMoney:Profitable Exchange-Traded Fund Strategies for Every Investor), but I will keep my hand in financial news media and in-person events (CNBC, Fox Business, Yahoo Finance).
